The period is yours
The number is not given to anyone else for the period you choose. If you need to sign in to the same account again the next day or reset a password, the code still comes to the same number.

A one-time virtual number stays open briefly for a single verification code and closes once the job is done. A rental virtual number is reserved for you alone for the period you choose (1 day, 3 days, 1 week or 1 month), and every SMS that arrives during that time is listed in your panel. This guide explains the difference, how a rental is charged, the cancellation and extension rules, and what happens to the number when the period ends.
The number is not given to anyone else for the period you choose. If you need to sign in to the same account again the next day or reset a password, the code still comes to the same number.
Pick a specific service (e.g. WhatsApp) and that service's SMS arrive. With the "All Apps" option the number is not tied to one service; bank and payment SMS may still not arrive.
Extension opens after the first SMS arrives or the free cancellation window ends. Once the period has expired, there is no guarantee the number stays yours.
Most people get a virtual number for a single sign-up: enter the code, open the account and be done with the number. For that, a one-time SMS verification number is cheaper and quicker. But some services keep sending SMS to the phone number after sign-up: when you log in from a new device, reset a password, pass a security check, or hit a "verify your number" screen a few days later. A one-time number is no longer yours at that point, so those codes never reach you.
A rental number closes that gap. The number is yours alone for the period you choose; every SMS received during that time is saved even if you close the page, and appears both in the rental panel and in your Order History. That makes it a fit for accounts that may ask for re-verification in the first weeks, for testing and setup work that takes a few days, or for a second number while you travel.
When you confirm a rental, the amount is held on your balance but not finalised straight away. For most offers the fee becomes final when the first SMS arrives or when the free cancellation window (usually 20 minutes) ends. If no SMS has arrived within that window, you can cancel and the held amount returns to your balance. For the first few minutes after the number is issued the cancel button may be locked; the remaining time is shown on the button.
Some weekly and monthly offers have no cancellation or refund at all: the fee is final the moment the number is issued. That is not an exception but the rule of that offer, and it is stated clearly in both the period picker and the confirmation window. In other words there is no "refund on every rental"; a refund applies only to offers that allow cancellation, when you cancel within the window before the first SMS.
When the rental ends, the number stops being yours and may in time be rented to another user. That is a real risk for any account you opened with it: if the service sends a code to that number later, the code goes to the new user, not to you. So on an account you plan to keep, turn on a security method that does not depend on the number — two-step verification, a backup email or recovery codes — and, if you can, move the account to a permanent number before the period ends.
For permanent, personal accounts such as banking or government services tied to your identity, use your own line. A rental number is not designed for those accounts, and bank or payment SMS may not reach these numbers at all.
The most requested services on the rental list are WhatsApp and Telegram, and each has its own guide: rental number for WhatsApp and rental number for Telegram. Services such as Instagram, Facebook and Google are listed too, along with the "All Apps" option that is not tied to a single service. Which periods are available in which country depends on stock; the table below shows the current state.
Turkish (+90) rental numbers are not offered right now; if they become available, they will appear in the country list on the rental number page. For a one-time verification that needs +90, see the Turkey virtual number page. If you plan to use a number for weeks, the monthly virtual number guide covers choosing the period in detail.
| Topic | One-time number | Rental number |
|---|---|---|
| How long it is yours | About 20 minutes for one verification | The period you choose: 1 day, 3 days, 1 week or 1 month |
| How many SMS | A single code | Every SMS during the period |
| If no code arrives | Cancelled and refunded automatically when it expires | Depends on the offer: you cancel within the free window; some offers have no cancellation |

Each cell is the starting price among the countries in stock for that period. "Not available now" means no country currently offers that period for the service.

A one-time number stays open for about 20 minutes for one verification code. A rental number stays yours for the period you choose, receives every SMS during that time, and can be extended before it ends.
On offers that allow cancellation, if no SMS has arrived within the free cancellation window you can cancel and the amount returns to your balance. After the first SMS or once the window has passed, it cannot be cancelled. Some weekly and monthly offers have no cancellation or refund; this is shown in the period picker and the confirmation window.
Not during the rental period; the number is reserved for you only. After the period ends there is no guarantee it stays yours, and it may be rented to another user.
Turkish (+90) rental numbers are not offered right now. If they become available they will appear in the country list on the rental number page; a country that is not listed cannot be rented.
The number is not tied to one service; SMS from different services during the period are listed. Bank and payment SMS may not arrive. This option costs more than a service-specific rental and is available in fewer countries.
